Make a broadcast

As a community radio, we aim to offer easy access to radio production to as many people as possible. All interested individuals can create their own broadcast, either alone or as a group, and in the language of their choice. They must simply adhere to the LoRa principles: no racism, no sexism, no advertising.

1. You sign-up to become a member of the association Verein Radio LoRa and contact us (verlinken zu "Kontakt") to sign-up for the basic course in radio journalism. In collaboration with the radio school klipp+klang, we offer this course as a means to learn the craft of radio directly in our studios. The course covers the technical operation of the studio and basic radio journalism skills. This course is typically offered four times a year. The course fee is CHF 180.- for members and CHF 360.- for non-members.
2. You must read the broadcasting manual and submit a broadcasting concept. Your concept will be discussed by the Broadcasting Commission (SK). If your broadcasting concept is approved by the Broadcasting Commission, you may be asked to produce a demo broadcast. After receiving feedback from the SK, a suitable broadcasting slot will be assigned to you. There are available broadcasting slots at various times and frequencies.
3. After a three-month trial period that is overseen by the Broadcasting Commission, your broadcast will be included in the regular LoRa program.
